FORMER SUPER EAGLES PLAYER BECOMES NEW MANAGER OF A TOP NIGERIAN LEAGUE CLUB

The  ex- Sharks, Ajax and Real Betis Skipper, Finidi George has officially  been unveiled by the  Nigerian Professional League side, Enyimba Fc as their new manager. 

The former Nigerian international took over from Fatai Osho after his contract with the Peoples' Elephant expired last Season and would be hoping to win trophies with the Aba based Club in subsequent times.

 The  experienced Ex-Super Eagles  player was unveiled by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. Felix Anyasi during the official contract signing. 

The Former  Super Eagles And Ajax player was quoted by Legit.ng saying:  “I have to say it’s a great opportunity for the club to have this confidence in me. I want to thank the chairman, the members of the board, and the supporters for even thinking about me.


"On my own part, I will be here to just work and do the job. It’s never going to be easy but I’m here to work and make the team win.”

Meanwhile, The eight-time Nigerian Champions and two-times African champions will be competing in this season's Confederations Cup. 

Enyimba will play Senegalese side Diambers FC in the second round next month and Finidi is expected to put his tactics on display, Vanguard Newspaper reports.

ASUU CALLS OFF STRIKE The Academic Staffs Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off its three months prolonged strike in order to Continue its academic activities in earnest to salvage the future of  both Graduating and Matriculated Students on various institutions of higher learning within the Country. This was disclosed during a press briefing. The union suspended the strike after a memorandum of Action, MoA, it reached with the Federal government towards the revitalisation of public universities. The ASUU National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi who announced the suspension, however, said that the union had embarked on the strike to “stem the continued slide into rot and decay in public universities since the 1980s.” He however decried the unpatriotic attitudes of some university chancellors whom he said tried to undermine the union’s struggle towards ensuring that universities in the country are revitalised. Rating on VAT by the Various States In Nigeria
